4th Generation Pls help ! (Experts come in)

1997 Camery LE

The problems starts two months ago

Symptoms:

Start engine cranking rpm ~1k -2k
RPM drop 1k --0
engine light went on

Try start a couple of times
RPM stablized at 0.3 or 0.4k
car shaking, tachometer needle shaking
everything went to normal after drive for a few minutes

If I hit gas before RPM drops to 0.
Car shakes a little bit
Everything went to normal after 1 min @ rpm >1k

This problem is on and off. Usually happens 3 times/week

Your expert opinion will be very much appreciated.

If the engine is knocking while idleing or during acceleration, you may need new spark plugs and wires.

Same thing happened to my 1999 Camry.

IAC valve controls idle, open EGR valve can cause rough idle.

I may not understand your response correctly. However, it seems that my car is doing okey after it starts and drive for a while, even during idling. RPM stays at 600-800 and no shaking.

Hats off to all who responded
