3rd Generation '94 Camry LE V6 Pinstripe removal

needs some advise/instruction on removing 13 yr old caked on Pinstripe on Black paint without harming the fragile remaining clearcoat. Heard of using a 3M vinyl wheel but don't know how to use it or attempt this job...

Thanks

Jim

It's probably going to look really wierd when it's off since it's been on there for so long. Why can't you just use the traditional method of using a heat gun and a plastic scraper?

I used heat+credit card. mine left a mark but it's better than it was with the messed up stripe there. I'm going to put a new one on over the mark or something to cover it up eventually.

Theres a post in the detailing thread about removing the pin-stripe using an adhesive remover. You basically spray it on, leave for a few minutes and wipe away the madness. Your paint will be unharmed.

EDIT:

ah here we go
