Hum sound while pressing gas?

I have a 92' 5F-SE automatic camry and it hums when I press the gas, and the hum seems to be coming from under the car, possibly my exhaust. The hum is a very deep hum "HUMMMMMMMM", I was just wondering if this is normal or not, thanks.

it could be part of the exhaust is starting to go. in particular, the flex pipe (woven metal section located near the oil pan). jack up the car and take a look.

run some seafoam through your intake and then you'll see where your exhaust leak is

Or simply start the car and then stick a rag or a tennis ball over the tailpipe (or have someone do it while you move along the car and listen). You will quickly find the leak in the exhaust system.

It can also be a heat shield from the exhaust system rattling. As they get old the welds give way a bit and set up a sympathetic vibration that can come and go at various RPM's.

Start with the engine cold cause you might have to get touchy feely with the exhaust system. Start the engine and run your hands over all areas of exhaust system where you suspect the leak. Gloves make it harder to find an exhaust pulsing out so like i said, do it with everhting cold.
The humm could be a cracked exhaust manifold and the muffler might have a hole. So i'd check for those first.
