the stock radio in the camry is pretty much garbage ... go for an aftermarket JVC, Pioneer, or Sony!

it really makes a big difference

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm just going to have to get that Sony one now.

Sony's not that great IMO when it comes to HU.... you should add Panasonic, Alpine, Clarion to the list as well.

Ok. Anyone have any recommendation for a HU with ipod support at around the same price point as the sony one?

do you just want an AUX input, or a receiver that can control the iPod as well [i think theyre dumb because then youre looking down at the receiver instead of at the road ... at least u can hold ur ipod up]

circuit city has some JVC's and Pioneers that are relatively cheap that have Aux inputs & iPod Controls [more expensive]

AUX input is enough. I don't like fumbling with the radio controls as it is. Id rather just use the ipod to control the song playing from it.

Which "sony one"?

And don't forget that you'll need to upgrade at least a couple of your speakers.

I have the Alpine 9856 with the Ipod cable and I love it. You can't diss it until you try it out. I thought it was wierd at first as well, but when I used it I fell in love. Get an Alpine or Pioneer and buy the Ipod cable for it. My Ipod lives in my locked glovebox, and is ALWAYS charged from the cord.
