3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is going to have a fun and safe holiday weekend. Yesterday I was going to debadge the trunk on my 95 V6 coupe. When I took the letter C off to my little suprise it was not held on by glue but by 3 small stem (don't remember the correct word for it). Anyway since it would have left the holes expose I decided to leave the letters on. To me it is not worth bringing it in to a body shop just to redo the trunk. Since I don't have the know how or the time to fill in the holes I am just going to leave it as is. Oh well at least I was able to put the letter c back on.
Last week i tried to take the "to" off of toyota so it would say "yota" but i found when i started to take the letters off there were holes . i was really looking forward to it saying its nickname
on my coupe, on the left hand side the word 'toyota' was just glued, no pegs. on the right, LE and v6 were also glued so they came off without any weird marks or holes. the emblem and the camry letters are pegged, though.
so if year makes no difference, maybe its' where the car was assembled that does? the coupe was built in america.

No it sounds like the 1992-1994 Camry badges (i.e. TOYOTA & LE V6) do have pegs in them, but the 1995-1996 Camry badges are just stickered on them, except the CAMRY letters in the center panel.
