3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Here in canada there is a law that automakers have to built car with that..
In fact it's just lights that are turned on all the time in the front of the car..
On the 3rd Gen Camry it's the high-beam but with a lower voltage so it does not blind people

for some reason, in '92 and '93 Toyota went nuts with their DRL's. They changed it in the 94 MY to only show the inner high-beams as drl's but the earlier cars had: corner lights, corner markers, inside lamps, and the entire rear. I hate it as well, I tried pulling some fuses but I couldn't get all the outer lights to turn off.
wow....and by this point I thought I knew all about camrys....never knew that the 92/93s had drls in the back as well...
and drls in the front are the best idea that anybody's ever come up with.I'd say that rear ones aren't a bad idea either. too many idiots who don't turn on their lights when it's dark/foggy/rainy

^ I disagree on that point....drls are always a good idea.....most colored cars are easy to see, but cars that are grey and silver are pretty hard to see sometimes, especially when the sun is in your eyes. but you'll still be able to see the lights coming at you
and most newer cars (including the camrys - gen5 onwards?) has an automatic lights function
