Got these today. One is either off a mercedes or lexus. Im not even sure and the other is off a maxima. My friend travis got the first one from debris left from a wreck and the other i guess he got from a junkyard... So two free projectors!

I'm not getting the HIDS or depo clears YET but eventually. I still have turbo stuff to take care of.

But for now these two should be enough to fool around with a little

Plus im a little short on cash as school is almost back in session.

Yea ill def go back and do it nicely. But I figure I might as well practice with some junk and see how it works out. Who knows it may even come out decent.

After really looking at the projectors carefully I found out a few things.

The main differences are the back piece is a little bigger on the benz and max is smaller.

The benz is a bixenon if im not mistaken and the little actuator works. Too bad I cant take advantage of it!

Otherwise things should be fine. I might even be able to finish it today if im lucky. I have a few ideas on what im going to use for a shroud and im probably going to use some bondo glass to seal up the little holes after I JB weld everything together.

I was going to spray inside the housing all black but I have to save that for when I get another set of projectors for the highbeams which I can probably get a hold of next week.

Small update:

Got the projectors in. I need to make a backing to seal up one being as they are different projectors. Should take a few minutes with some bondo and pieces of aluminum.

I just noticed the same one may need a little adjusting but overall its ok.

I'm on my way to home depot now to pick up the materials for the shrouds.

woo hoo Now the pics

Do you need some lenses that are almost cleared?...I began clearing them and then Depot released the clear headlights. The lenses are new and have never been installed, most of the texturing is removed--all you will have to do is finish it. You can have them both for $45 shipped.

Ok I used a 3" sillicone coupler from home depot and cut it in half.

The front piece is from those lawn lights that you stick in the ground and they're solar powered. It just happened to be 3 inches... WOW.

And now the pics.
