I was wondering if the front bumper from the Altis would fit a gen4. From what little info that I could dig up, they didn't start making it until 2000. Would I be able to mount it on my car or does it fit gen4.5 and I have to modify almost the entire front end?

I thought the Altis was Corolla.

oh, we thought you meant a toyota altis...

and that is essentially a gen4.5 bumper... maybe a mix-up?

the Daihatsu Altis is a rebadged Toyota Camry, so everything should fit the same ...

however, there was no Daihatsu from 97-99 so therefore they started making them when the gen4.5

so no, a gen4 will not fit gen4.5 parts [you answered your own question by saying its a 2000 model]

Oh my bad. So do you guys think that I would have to modify my car to make it fit? Or should I cut my bumper to make it fit? I like how the fogs sit flush with the bumper on the car and I don't like the ones that we have ours. To me, it looks a little... tacky.

Go for the JDM Toyota Gracia then, they have the same bumper with the foglights built into the bumper.

It is roughly $365 once you convert it to USD from JPY.

why dont you just get a Gen 4.5 Camry bumper? ... you live in CA, not Japan ... so getting JDM bumpers doent really do u much good

Reason he wants that bumper is the USDM Camry does not have the fog lights integrated into the bumper like the Toyota Gracia and Daihatsu Altis, that is a feature only found on the JDM models as well as I believe the AU models (can some of our AU members confirm this?).

The US and CA models have fog lights that attach separately to the lower portion of the front bumper.

damn that's embarrassing; a camry rebadged as a daihatsu. nice bumper though.
