Question Sinking Headliner

My headliner is hanging down.

I searched and found how to take the headliner out but I wanted to know what kind of adhesive is recomended for fixing the problem.

Thanks

usually they use 3M spray adhesive but its not the brand you use as much as it is the procedure that you follow if you dont let the spray soak into the fabric enough youll have to do it all over again soon after you put it all back in
you should be able to find some at a local parts store its only a few bucks for a can of it and that should be more than enough to re attach your headliner
and if you cant find anythere go to a car audio shop theyll prolly have it too, as they use it to attach carpet to cover subwoofer boxes. hope this helps!

It's a '94. I have fought falling headliners in the past by using screw thumbtacks (works OK), by using thin strips of board arced across the ceiling (actually worked very well), and by taking off the cloth and putting duct tape all over the ceiling (didn't work, the duct tape started falling down within a month or so).

My car is a '95 LE with about 160,000 miles. If the headliner started falling in that I'd first use screw tacks, then if that didn't work well I'd just rip it out up to the metal.

You are a smoker right? Or bought the car from a smoker?

After you fix it, you may want to avoid or limit smoking inside the car.

Wow! You did that yourself?

Considering the amount of money you put into that car, I think I will not get that type of car radio. Now you have an empty space under the radio. It looks like you can put in a DVD Navigation Radio inside there. That will look better and get rid of that empty space.

Thanks for all the responses.

I actually did have some thumbtacks in it to hold it up for a while but i wanted to fix it properly.

I'm not a smoker but like an dumb ass I let my friends smoke in my car which is what caused it to fall.

I thought about doing a custom headliner but don't know what to do with it yet. I'll definitely check out that link

Thanks again for all the help
