Front Bumper Lights

It's one of those days... I feel like going back to when I first registered here and asked every stupid question ever...

ANYWAYS!

My front parking lights (turn signal lights) Are they supposed to light up when I have the light switch set to the first click? Because after watching Tonthetiger's night videos, his are lit up, but alas, mine aren't. I've checked and the lights are single filament bulbs, so I'm assuming that It's a canadian thing. But the real question I have hidden here is this... How difficult would it be to make it so that I could have the lights on with the signal still operable?

= me

i know US gen3s have 2 piece blinker housings. both corner lights(by the headlights and by the blinker) should work when the light switch is either in parking light mode or headlamp mode. if there is just one light for the blinkers then ud have modify the circut to allow power to the lights for both constant and for the blinker.

No no no, Tony fitted dual filimentsockets to his Main Signals to make them look like that. i pm'd him a while ago askign him the asme question heres his response...

Quote:
I've went to a local auto parts store and purchased a pair of 1157 dual filament light bulb socket. So the "dim" would be on with the parking lights, and the signal would trigger the "bright" to give it a fully functional signal. It's simple wiring, and the only part that requires custom work is to trim the bumper lights to accept the light sockets.

Tony
