1. it is 3m taped. Heat it with a hairdryer and use dental floss to remove.
2. Yes the year will matter on the "T" circle since it is recessed in. You can double check. I wanted to change my "T" to the Yaris on that is slightly larger, but was a different size. My 99 has the "T" impression in the metal, therefore it wouldn't be flush.
As for the emblems "Camry" or "LE". they are flat, ad can be removed.
I replaced my "Camry" and "LE" emblems with the 2007 emblems....more sportier.

btw. if you buy used emblems off ebay, you will need 3M Exterior Mounting Tape (5lb grade) to reapply the new emblems. If New in Toyota package, they come with the fresh tape on the backside.
which one are you talking about ?? "Toyota" "Camry" "V6" "XLE" "LE" etc....??? <<all these are stuck on with 3M double sided tape. But JUST REMEMBER the Toyota logo right in the middle of the trunk has 2 hole in the middle, so if you're going to take it off you have to fill the holes
