broken mirror

I am retarded and while backing into my 1 car garage at my apartment i was paying too close attention to my rear and ended up not having enough clearance on my driver's side for my mirror to fit. So I snapped it pretty hard. It didn't break off but it looks like its toast.
Is is something I can fix at home? And if so where can i get the part?
Thanks
-jason

Jason, don;t feel too bad, I did the same thing 3 weeks ago (pics below). As long as you have basic tools (screwdriver and wratchet), you can do it. I do not know EXACTLY how it is done on your car, but it should not be hard. I;ve done both a 92-96 and 02-06 style easily.

As for the mirror, I think yours may be heated, as it;s an XLE. That you need to figure out.

As for places to get them:
1: Your local Toyota dealer.
2: www.ebay.com
3: www.car-part.com

Usually there are three bolts holding the mirror body on. These are accessed from the inside of the car.

The link below provides a service manual for this generation.
