4th Generation Opnion from you toyota Guru's

I am thinking about buying a spare 1mzfe motor to build for turbo/supercharger or possibly just a stock rebuild, however I would bore the motor over .20 and blueprint and balance the rotating assembly as well as shot peen the rods. Would that be worth my while? Also while I have the motor being assembled I would port the intake manifold and ACIS camber and port match the heads followed by a polish of the bowls and 3 angle valve job. Would I need a set of bigger injectors and a Super AFC to control them and would I need to think about a new MAF like one from a Supra. Or is there a way to convert the car to MAp or a GM 3/12" MAF?

for a slight NA build like that, no, you won't need new injectors to run the setup, but you would need some sort of fuel-tuning such as an SAFC

As for the MAF, you can't convert to MAP or use a MAF from a GM (or at least nobody's done it- why don't you try for us? : )

BUT you do have the option of using a Supra TT MAF that a lot of the boosted solara guys have used with pretty good results.

The only thing that I would suggest is that you finalize what you want firwst before starting the rebuild or else there may be wasted effort and the need to do things twice - i.e. port matching your acis, intake plenum = useless if you plan to go boost

probally not gonna go boost for reliabilty reasons as it is my daily but the supra TT maF is a great idea, but there is a brand new TRD supercharger on ebay for a whopping 3200 bucks

yes you could....but with ease? not really....

the hardest part would be getting the custom motormounts made up.

If you're really up for it though, wraith here on TN is selling his custom mounts from his project that he's now parting out. look for it in the FS thread.
