I'm just wondering if taking outt the exhaust will give the car any hp or tourque? I also made a video of it as well http://youtube.com/watch?v=KzP8jnReyBE

Everything is stock and how can I lose hp or torque. I might lose low end but not sure about losing power in general. If I do lose power in general then how does an aftermarket muffler work?. Its almost about the same thiing if you took off your muffler but different sound. Can someone explain please?
first we have to get somthing straight...how much of the "exhaut" did u take off. muffler? cat back? the whole damn thing?
depending on the muffler it is just like having no muffler at all in terms of performance. if its a can or straight through design then the muffler has sound absorbing material to lessen the noise but doesnt disrupt exhaust flow. if its a chambered muffler then there are chambers that the exhaust passes through that lower the speed, can raise tq but lower top end cuz its more restricteve then straight through, and quiet the exhaust(not many people use them here).
if u removed all of or most of ur exhaust then its not going to change the performance much cept u might loose low end power but the big no no is the unwieldy noise that ur car is gonna make with it off.

Sorry about that. I was thinking of the straight through muffler. What I was trying to do in the first place in my car was trying to take out the oil pan b/c walmart said I had an oil leak in the oil pan; in the end they end up lying to us. We were trying to take out the down pipe so we can remove the oil pan. First I took off the bolts the held the cat and the remaining pipe that leads to the muffler and tried to take out the front part of the downpipe. If you look at it, the exhaust is from the cat and into the atmosphere. So basically I had an open cat? I was trying to see how loud it can get and if I got any power from it before we took out the oil pan.
its a muffler that instead of a straight through exhaust passage, it has chambers that the exhaust flow through, dyno max, thrush, flowmaster, all sell chambered mufflers. thoes chambers have baffels that lower and change sound as well as change performance. there not good for high reving motors becuse they are restricted and designed to minipulate exhaust flow to increase tq more than hp. usually u see them on domestic V8s and what not.

it's called "back pressure". without it you'll lose power. an aftermarket exhaust system provides a better amount of back pressure whilst sacrificing quietness.
