Can I replace driver side mirror? (Got a replacement from junkyard, different colour)

Is there anyway I can take out the mirror/motor and connector and put it into the housing that was originally on my car? My car is red, I was only able to find grey or green, so for now I took the green, but would really like to use the mirror in my red housing, is there anyway i can take it out and put it into the original red housing? Any help?

Yes you can. 1st you need to pulll the mirror off (pull from the bottom, it will pop). Then swing it up, and it will com out. From there, you can see all the screws.

Will it pop even if its a motorized mirror? I wanna try this tomorrow, just adjust it so it mechically fully tilted up and then try and slowly pry the mirror from the bottom first?

I'll post some pics in the afternoon, as I just disassembled one, haha. If you can, drop me a private message so I will see it tomorrow, just to remind me to take a few pictures for you.

you never mentionaed the year of your car though. I have a 92-96, but I thing the 97-01 works the same way.
