Replacing Disc Brake Pad

Hi guys,

I really can't figure out what i have done wrong here....when installing in the new brake pad i can't get the caliper to slide it back in, did i get the wrong brake pad????

Yes i did depress the piston into the bore in the caliper with a large C-clamp to to make room for the new pads!!!

I don't know whether this is the right model for the rear or not "Toyota DB422BS".

Cheers

well its either that there the wrong size or u havnt compressed them enough. i had the same problem and it took some greasing up to get them on fallowed by brake cleaner to get rid of the lube. it worked but they were just tight, not the wrong ones. it my not have been right way however

So you fixed? My guess is the replacement pads were just too thick. If they were non-OEM its entirely possible, they make these pads all over the world, usually Asia, and in everyplace from real factorys to mom and papasan working in their living room riveting linings on by hand. So its possible they just put on linings a few mm too thick?.
