Increasing handling?

I took my car to a Firestone and they did a wheel alignment for me...

Said they restored it to factory settings. The car seems to go to the right lightly when there is wind, or severely left when there is no wind. It was doing it before, but lightly.

They told me it's not their fault because my struts are basically gone, and something about some kind of links being bad. ?

Now, if I replace my springs and shocks, will this stop happening? I want to have more control over my 4cyl than I do currently. On the expressway, it feels like I'm driving a boat.

I have a strut tower bar in the front, but I didn't notice jack shit after putting it in.

replacing the springs and struts wont cure ur drifting problem, only a proper alignmant will do that. take what any large corperation shop says with a big grain of salt, they are in it for the money...not customer trust. strut tower does very little, especially on the 4cyl.

I had a drift/alignment problem that the dealer could not fix. I took my car to a shop that had the Hunter alignment and Hunter wheel balancer. The wheel balancer also detects road force ( radial pull) and dictates the correct placement of each tire. After all the work was done, no joke, I can take my hands off the wheel @ 85mph and the car tracks straight.
You can go to the Hunter web site and read about these machines and where the nearest one to you is. I had to drive 50 miles , but worth the time! And no, I do not work for Hunter.
Good luck,
RB

How much does all that cost? Also, pretty sure I need new bushings and stuff for all that.

if u do all the work urself, which is recommended and pretty easy, then ur lookin at around 600. that also depends on what and where u buy. if ur lookin for a good deal on shocks and springs in the for sales section.
