4th Generation Wheel Spacer Question...Help

I've got different responses from a few different people but I want to hear what you guys think. Here's some backround, I needed a wheel spacer to clear the big brake caliper. When I first measured 5mm was pleny but appereantly didnt work out that way.

Since I am not able to buy a 10mm wheel spacer from anyone, I basically have 2 options...

1. Go to a machine shop and have one custom made, more than likely it will be steal and not light weight aluminum.

2. Stack two 5mm spacers on each other. This idea concerns me because when the car moves this will create vidration which could loosen up the bolts. But the tech person I talked to said that since the wheel will be bolted on tight anyways, there will not be that much vibration between the 2 spacers so I dont have much to worry about.

Is this guy right or a complete idiot?

Help Help Help...I dont want my wheel come rolling off my car when im going down the road...

well if the wheel is tight enough then its not much different then having one spacer. the only reason it would vibrate is if they werent tight. i say its good. though having one spacer would be better.

You can buy a 10mm spacer my man:

http://www2.partstrain.com/partlisti...7+Wheel+Spacer

This is for an RX but you can find a universal or something that will work. Search it.

thanks guys, I think I will stay with the 2 5mm right now because im thinkin bout getting some volks soon. I'll just run a larger offset so I dont have to worry about need 10mm for clearance of the caliper. Havent decided on the model yet tho.

A 10mm spacer for a camry will more than likely have to be custom because if I were to use another spacer from another make/model, the center bore will not be 60.1. Then its back to the machine shop which is a hassel. I might just buy the H&R 15mm but then it becomes a fender clearance issue, arggg....Maybe just say F it and get the volk rims i wanted in the first place and run a larger offset...

Not sure what are the rules there, but those cheap wheel spacers are seriously dangerous! So If you do going to get one, spend time to search and you pay for what u get

Do you mean the ones with the studs or just spacers? I bought my 5mm spacers for $5 a piece.

5mm is still not a problem....but anything more, and I would get real machined spacers with longer studs
