4th Generation Burned out dash shift light, replaced with homemade LED

My drive (D) shift light had been burned out for some time and I finally decided to dig into the dash cluster and see what was inside.
After reading that the bulbs were only available from Toyota for silly amounts of money, I decided I'd try my hand at a permanent solution.
After checking with the LED calculator:
http://metku.net/index.html?sect=vie...calc/index_eng

I whipped up a close resistance and soldered together this:
http://www.gawd.mb.ca/camry/ledshift/
(I would've attached the pics but I don't seem to be able to attach things)
It worked out nicely, but the light is a little to one side, could use some aiming but since I used an amber LED (didn't have any whites in the basement) I put it in the reverse socket to it's not a big deal it's a bit off

I also moved the bulbs around while I was in there, put L1 and L2 into Drive and Park.

Pththth, just buying them is no fun.
It was a fun learning experience and I had all the bits in the basement.
Thanks for the link though, maybe I'll grab some for next time.
(not that I think that'll happen anytime soon, D held out for 8 years, the rest should hold for a good while longer)
