Canada Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover Install Guide (lotsa Pics 56k)

Well folks I finally go around to installing my coilovers and boy do I feel the difference

The stance of my coupe aong with the ride feel is amazing and it feels like a true race-inspired vehicle Even with the dampering settings set to the lowest, its still rock hard and very responsive.

Basically if your looking for the best performance upgrade, suspension-wise, to your Camry, then there is no other way to go.

This pictoral guide is in place to answer any question, big or small, that you may have about Ksport and their amazng suspension applications.

My set came from Peter at ImageInMotion in BC and i went with the factory spring rates (9KG front, 5KG rear) and i have no complaints.

Any further questions or comments can be posted in this thread and ill be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge/memory.

TOTAL INSTALL TIME DOING IT BY MYSELF IN THE DIRT: 4 HOURS

ENJOY

Front Coilover Install - relatively straight forward, the first problem was figuring out how the adjustment works on the coilover and the use of the lock rings and positioning everything just right and identical to eachother with the use of measurements and calculating the number of turns made along the threads - not hard once i mastered the first one

Rear Coilover Install - more difficult but mostly the same, if it werent for those damn stubborn RSB endlinks - again it was just a matter of lining components up on the threads and making sure everyhting was good and tight. Removal of rear seats and read deck, followed by the old struts was the most time consuming part of the rear end.

no no i just left the lift there for safety, but for no reason should you not be using the jack stands, especially for this job since your in and out of the car like a madman
also i found a use for the car's little jack and used it to hold up the hubs and axle carriers on all 4 corners when i was fitting the coilover and later i just turned the little jack to raise it up to line up with the bolt holes - that helps alot since the hubs, especially the fronts are quite heavy and awkward

Those brake lines look nasty.I would atleast spray some wd-40(or get some mar-hyde) or something on it(maybe sand it a little bit before spraying)...

213soldier - those ran me back about $1000CAD from Peter at ImageInMotion

keba - i need to invest in some steel brake lines or something or else lube them up to avoid cracking and deterioration, at least there still functioning well

haha as for Timmy Ho's - i couldnt live without it, and yes it is damn good coffee
ive been to the states and Dunkin's is damn good too

also if anyone has a suggestion for the front brake lines, and how to somehow fasten them securely rather than how they are flopping around and may be dangerous - let me know
i zip tied them for now but unlike the rears, they arent ridgid and could cause problems
