What I thought was a car alarm problem now seems to be a battery or alternator problem. The battery was dead to the point where it was making the car alarm act up. The car wouldn't turn over so I jump it with my sisters scion. Starts up and alarm knocks off its stupid crap. Thinking its been very hot here in florida lately and my cars battery has gone to crap, I suspect I need a new one. The car runs in th driveway while I get ready for work. I come outside and the car isn't running. The cars battery still has a little charge and I can tell because none of lights aren't dimming. It won't trurn over at all, not even when I try to jump it again. I wish I was outside watching what happend;
In a neighbor's yard the lawn guy said (cuz i walked over and asked him) he heard a squeeling noise and did not know it was my car. I'm thinking I destroyed the alternator trying to charge a dead battery, and killed a few relay switches in the process. Or; my alternator has gone bad thats why the battery is dead-dead. I'm completely clueless on this one and don't know what part of the engine is the culprit.

I did searches on here but theres too many issues, I figured if I told the sequence in which it all happend, one of you geniuses would know exactly what happend.
Stranded college kid, any advice will do. Thanks.
**New finds: I believe the belts are very worn out and need replacing, which would have caused the engine to run on the battery for the time it did, now its dead.*** I don't think the alternator is working properly because of the belt*** and with a super dead battery, jump starting isn't going to help (maybe I'm wrong here) I'm not exactly sure, but again; I do know the belts are very worn out.
