Aight,
I've looked through the forums, and nobody seems to have a resolve to the "best" springs out there.
I'm looking to buy springs for my camry, one of my first real mods to the car, and I am looking for good springs for my car (97 V6). I am looking for a real stiff spring (considering the stock suspension is like driving a boat) and that drops it evenly (unlike someone else's that I saw on the forum)
Pretty much it comes down to these brands:
Eibach Pro-Kit
Megan Racing
Tein
Intrax
H&R
PLEASE let me know asap, your opinion is very important to me, especially because it is a major thing, and I'm planning on investing 6k into the car this summer alone.
Money is not much of an issue, as long as they are not rediculously expensive. Also, I am trying to order these tomorrow, so they will ship out on monday. LET ME KNOW PLEASSSEEE!!!!
BTW is that your 460 in your sig? I work at the largest dealership in the nation (Newport Lexus) and I never see sick 460s...everyone always mods the IS's
from what i've heard, your only good springs for a gen4 v6 are either eibach, Tein or H&R. Everything else will give an un-even drop.
if you want some sick shit, though, i got a box of never installed vogtlands for the v6 and might consider selling them off for the right price

Well if you want a stiff ride in terms of shocks, the Tokico's are stiffer than the KYBs. It's also recommended to replace the shocks/struts when installing the springs.
i just got intrax there pretty much the lowest rated spring besides coilovers and if you want stiff you want performance shocks cause thats where the stiffness comes from
im going to have intrax springs and tokico high performance struts on my 97 camry 4cyl

are the vogtlands the adjustable ones? or is that ground control?...I guess im just looking for the best looking drop now...I've already got sways and struts on the way for both front and rear

I'm pleased with my HR sports, and KYB's, with my V6, it dropped the front more than the rear...I think they'll settle more in the future tho....Check the FAQ's in the Camry forum, that really helped me decide witch way to go. But if u have the bucks, go with the k-sport coilovers, since ur looking for "real stiff" anyways!
If money is no issue, import some Lovells or Kings Springs from Australia. I have Kings and the drop is perfectly even. The gaps between the tire and body are exactly the same around the car. You have the choice of low (1.5 inch) or super low (2.5 inch)
