alarm system question

hi i want to install an alarm system on my camry b/c i am sick of people messing with cars here.i don't really want to have to go the other way and shoot someone so i deal with the lesser evil and see about a alarm. what would you guys recommend ? also maybe something for diy?we just had someone pouring oil in our restored celica 1976 with white carpet in and white and gold interior. i wish i knew who did that because i would have something for him or her. also some wires was cut on my husbands sr5 corolla 1986 also fully restored.i guess my camry would be next and i just had it painted and all and i would hate to catch someone messing with it. i am thinking about tying one of my dogs to it until i get an alarm. well this is just my life

I like my Autopage 2 way FM system(remote start keyless entry alarm) I installed it in a day and it was okay but you do have to know basic electronics. I got my system from ebay for about 170. I would look into the similar Viper 2 way FM systems. they seem a little better.
