3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So after a year or two of deciding and waiting and selling... I have finally installed the set of JDM TRD suspensions I carried from HK~
Not a huge difference, feels more bumps on the road but less rebound. Max cornering speed could have been better (cuz of bad tires) but definitely feels more in control. But every time I cross a speed bump I would have to go VERY SLOW or ANGLED, scratched the bottom 4 times already.
Nothing much just feel like sharing! I will probably start doing some major clean up and maintenance during this summer; seafoaming, tb cleaning, intake cleaning, flush most oil and use synthetic, swap a K&N high flow air filter... etc~ Any more suggestions?
BTW I drive a 99 LE A/T~ You guys will be seeing lots of questions from me this summer!
Cheers~
any difference between the jdm trd and the usdm trd springs?
oh abd btw, you may benefit by replacing struts as well, if you havne't yet.

Well that sounds great~ Driving a family sedan really makes me feel leftout most of the time in local car communities.
Now post some pics, heh. I wonder what's the difference between that and Eibach's.
I did some research back then when I was trying to sell the set. Basically the JDM set I brought from HK is from "WayDo" factory in Japan. Do a search under my name and TRD suspension or something...
Here ya go! Altho there are really nothing much to see after a suspension swap, it can only be FELT!
Well at least they are obviously clean and shiny!
Haven't polish & wax for a LONG TIME~ Going to restore the paint this summer!
and I also made a sign!
(Why would it show tho...?)
Even though you put on the suspension, doesn't seem like there is much of a drop. And HUGE sidewall on ur tires....
Yeah not much drop, fortunately. I'd hate to scratch the bottom when passing speed bumps~ I already have to go VERY SLOW to pass speed bumps and my car is not even an exotic / sport About the sidewall, proves how much body roll I got before the suspension, plus I tend to push PRETTY HARD around corners...
