yet another E153 on 5sfe thread

ok, i'm in the process of collecting all the parts for the swap but i'm still trying to find out
EXACTLYwhat I need before i take the dive. most of the stuff i have already gotten. i'm still trying to figure out the axle situation. i've searched the forums but have seen no DEFINITE answer.

so far i have:

pedals
shifter
cables
clutch cylinder
slave cylinder
clutch
flywheel
tranny bracket
hubs
calipers
resistor box

the 2 things i'm sort of confused on is which axles i'm supposed to use and also some people were saying you need to change the rear motor mount. So basically i need to know:

which axle's i need

Passenger side - ?
Driver side - ?
which rear motor mount, from which car - ?

please help me finish this project.

also will the 3sgte arp flywheel bolts fit on the 5sfe crank?

and yes i have used the search feature so please don't flame me I just need to figure this out

thanks for the help

It'd be great to actually see a complete listing of the parts required for the E153 swap, if someone could compile a list with maybe notes?

I know a lot of assorted digging I've had to do with my head was a gigantic pain, finding parts that would fit and calling a slew of vendors trying to get measurements.

when are you doing the swap?

if you aren't doing it for a couple of weeks at least, wait a bit and I'll post up a FULL and REAL list of exactly what you need. I'm doing it right now and I ran into some problems with the axles even though I already have a 1mz- I'm using the solara tranny.

I'm hoping to finish up in the next couple of days and in the worst case, by this weekend since I need my car.

what tranny mount. are you talking about that bracket that bolts to the underneath of the manual trans?

what axles?? my trans is from a 2000 solara. do i need both of those axles, both driver side and passenger side from the 2000 solara or can i use another vehicle?

from what i'm reading is that everyone who is swapping the auto trans from the 5sfe are having problems with the rear motor mount when they install the E153 trans. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

The Mount that goes onto the subframe, the bracket that connects the tranny to the engine, and Both axles/half shafts for a 5 speed solara but then again I have a MZ.... PM GrkBallaG, he just done his, let him know his Dad sent you his way,

damnit milt...thanks for telling me now....

when I pm'ed you about it a couple of months back you said that I could re-use the original axles....and now I'm stuck cuz I need a 5-speed half-shaft

luckily I found one, but the carrier bearing is shot so I have to get that replaced first

I'm sure that the outside axles fit though....I hope....I should probably check that.
