Well I have my headers in, my 2.5" exhaust, new flex pipe, hi flo cat...all that good stuff already installed.
To be honest, the last of my cam-shift would be to get a CAI, but I really don't want to. I mean I do, but that's too much money for a little bit of noise. So, do you think I should invest in a K&N Drop in? Is it worth it?
And whats the deal with you guys cutting holes in your airboxes...where, and how about a little procedural information so I can attempt this myself
edit:
I took advice from venom, and now after this last bit of breathing work i'm doing all exterior. Thanks v5
in reality u get an intake for sound and looks. on high hp cars it does make gains but not really on ours so a drop in would be just as good, the only reason i even messed with the intake system was to get a CAI, colder air is just better, even if gains are minimal. i also built mine, i wasnt about to spend 250 bucks for somthing i could build for 25 .
That's all I bought it for too. Like I said before I noticed a difference in sound only when comparing the ebay intake and the weapon r secret weapon intake on the 5sfe and the weapon r looks better. Bling and sound that's all!!
K&N does give you a lil more sound, but the stock airbox really limits the sound
you could remove the intake resonator like i did ... that + a K&N filter might give you a sound similar to an SRI
but since an SRI is as cheap as like $40, i would just get one ... the Otto Racing from www.procarparts.com might be better than the Cosmo Racing, i dont kno for sure tho
