I recently had my power driver mirror broken on my 1996 camry. I read threads here where all 92-96 power mirrors should fit my camry. I recently visited my local junkyard and found a mirror but after trying to put it on my camry, i noticed the elctrical connectors were different. The wire from the door that will plug into the wire coming from the mirror was completely different. The new mirrow connector was like a square, while the connector from my door was more like a rectangle.
This mirror from a 97-01 camry on ebay seems to include this certain adapter to make things work for my 96 camry. NOTICE how there ius a big connector and a small connector

Does anyone have any input regarding why my connector that should plug into the connector of the mirror is different? I looked over ebay for some power mirrors but im not sure if they will work as the connectors are different. ie.

BTW what do you think of this? Has anyone tried it? UNIVERSAL PLUG?
