Unhappy 96' camry starter location

Hey everyone, I'm new here and completely ignorant of cars. Wanted to know where to locate the starter on a 96' 4 cyl camry. Also what does it look like and what's easiest way to remove. I want to remove it so that I can get it checked at autozone.

reason I want to get it check is because every once in a while my car will have troubles starting up. I turn the key and the engine won't turn on, but after a few attempts it usually does. but last night i was driving and the car started to act very strange. it would accelerate very strangely, the rpm would go up to 2 then drop suddenly.(was equivilant of teenager learning to drive for first time. having car go then stop go then stop go then stop...) also, the emergency break light on the panel turned on even though the emergy break was not on. the emergency break light would flicker and I believe was responsible for dropping the rpms and causing resistance since when it flickered the car's rpm would drop and i would not accelerate. I could be wrong tho.

and even more strange was the fact that the car would not turn off. it made clicking noises. I would turn the engine back on and try and turn it off but it wouldnt. eventually it did.

I checked online and others had similar problem and they suggested replacing hte starter and/or solenoid. is this correct? this is the reason i want to get the starter off and checked.

thanks all.

I would be interested to see if your battery cable clamp connections are clean and tight.
Disassemble both the positive and negative clamps from the cables, and either clean the clamps, or replace them with new ones. Use a wire brush to clean the copper cable ends, as well as any terminal contact areas, and also both battery posts.
.... Then, determine if you still have any problems.
