any diagrams trunk release

Seems like the small little things are adding up , on my to do list lol. I wanted to know if anyone had or could point me to a "good" diagram or layout of how to fix the trunk release on a 1995 camry.

i pull on the release on the floor near the driver side door and nothing happens, i think i hear a faint click near the trunk area but still have to put the key in to open.

The remote trunk latch is a cable system much like the hood release. You can access the release mechanism in the trunk lid. There is a cover behind the lid latch that can be removed. Have someone move the lever in the car while you watch the latch mechanism work.

cable is probably loose or broken

haynes manual might have a repair guide in it, ill have to check mine later

I have a 99 and I cannot open it with the latch or key. I can turn the key to the point i bend it.

Thankfully I have the pull down back seats and happen to have the plastic trunk cover off.

Same problem, replaced truck lock with new one, made sure it the release worked from the drivers side then locked it. Now I can't get it to open. The problem is I don't have any keys that fit the door locks.

Any new tricks to fix this? Would adding tension on the trunk spring help?

masteryota.. have a 2001 and having the same problem.. have to pull to one side with the lever to get the trunk to pop up... figure i'm headed towards it not functioning at all.

small but annoying thing

Same thing here on my 93 Camry, but only in warm weather. I'm guessing that the temperature is making the cable expand (actually lengthen).
