I need to replace the following parts on my car, and I need to know what size the bolts are, and where I can buy them, specifically made for vehicle applications. Other bolts just dont cut it.
Upper Tie Bar
Front Bumper ARM Right
Front Bumper ARM Left
Bumper Reinforcement Bar Front
Bumper Bracket Front Mounting Right (Outer Extension)
Bumper Bracket Front Mounting Left (Outer Extension)
i have no idea what bolts are used, but "other bolts just dont cut it" is wrong
coming from a [noob] engineering student ... bolts can be rated to take the stress of things WAY beyong that of a bumper, so im sure if you took one off ur bumper and brought them to a store, they could help you out

Well, yeah. I know that some can, but for instance, I used these strong bolts from home depot that secured my bumper to my fender, and every two to three weeks of expressway driving, I find the bolt there, with no nut, so I'm thinking the downforce of the bumper is destroying those...so I wanted to find actual toyota bolts.
for all the bumper cover related nuts/bolts, they are ALL 10mm. if you have problems with them falling off, get locknuts from your hardware store- they are strong enough since they don't actually hold much- it just keeps hte bumepr in place and the wind pushes the buymper inwards
for the re-bar, I think they were 10mm as well...if not, they're 12. just make sure that the thread size is the same- not sure if its 1.12 or 1.5...try both. they're cheap anyway.
if you really don't want to try it, then just go to your dealership and pay through the nose for them

The nuts are coming loose due to the vibration. Take the nut to the hardware store or your local home center and get some nylon insert locknuts (also called ESNA nuts or elastic stop nuts). They have a nylon colar in the crown of the nut to absorb the vibration. They may be a size larger in the hex size and in overall height, so make sure you have enough clearance to get them on the bolts.
Another option is to get some Locktite and put some on the nuts you have and then reassemble them. Locktite is a liquid nylon-like substance that can be applied to the threads and then attached to the mating threads. The liquid nylon will harden slightly as it cures. This nylon will also absorb the vibration. The blue Locktite should work just fine. Be sure to clean the threads of the nut first before putting some Locktite on.
