3rd Generation Gen 3 Antenna Mast Replacement Problem

My wife's antenna mast needed replacing so I purchased one from ebay. (It came with no instructions, but easy to install). The motor caught the cord when going down, but when I send the antenna back up its as if the motor doesn't know when to stop and it keeps feeding cord making an annoying grinding sound.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Your help would be greatly apprecitated!

If you do a search the only problems that come up are regarding the replacement and installation of the mast. I've already done this. My issue is with the motor not knowing when to stop.

I'd love to do a S2000 replacement but my wife likes the car the way it is.
