2000 Camry CE Questions

I just turned 73K miles on my Camry and would like input to the following:

I'd like to change my standard current tires/wheels (14 inch rims) to something a little beefier without getting too crazy. Would you recommend 15's, 16's or 17's?

How often should auto trans fluid be changed (do you recommend a flush, dropping the pan and changing the filter or both)

When should the timing belt be changed (I know the manual says 90K but I've heard it might be a good idea to do it before reaching 80K) Also, any idea what a fair price for this job is?

Thanks in advance for the info, Jim

the bigger the wheel diameter, the stiffer the ride, lots of people here like 17s with a 50 series side wall tire. this is really a personal preferance thing.

u should try to do a fluch if u havnt done one before and replacing the filter would be wise too.

cost for timing belt depends on whether u have the ce v6 or 4cyl. make sure u replace the water pump and tensoner too. i say around 600 maby less for the 4cyl.

There is no filter to replace. You take the pan out and there is only a metal screen that you rinse with new ATF.
