Just got my August issue of Modified...

Hey guys. My subscription to Modified ran out in like March and I havent renewed because moving to and from school. I usually dont buy them since they are like $6 at a news stand. Well, I said hell with it and bought one a couple days ago. My first stop is always RJ's editorial, then I have to check out the model of the month (who doesnt?). After that, I always flip back to the reader's ride section. Well, I started from the back and saw the red Civic, thought about how undeserving I thought it was (not a big Civic fan) and then flipped to the next page forward.

Ok, now I am going to be honest. I looked and the first thing I saw was the side profile picture. Was it? No, couldnt be. I look to the left at the rear end shot then to the white dot in top of the side profile picture. My suspicions were confirmed: it was a '94 Camry. Now, I have never seen modded Camry aside from two that rolled through town with primered and half hanging off bodykits and fart cans. Actually, I had no idea performace parts were available for Camry's. So I roll my eyes and let out a sigh as I look down the page at the mod list. I just glanced over it and the words 3SGTE, CT27, K-Sport, one off, and AEM EMS all jumped out at me. My jaw dropped. I reread the "interview" questions and answers a couple times, set the magazine down in my lap, and sat back a minute. Still completely floored I began to think about how far that car had come and how much time, money, and dedication that must've taken. I returned to the magazine and studied the pictures, this time with admiration and respect. I didnt see a Camry, I saw a jaw dropping masterpiece.

I am still blown away by the car. After going through and looking at all the featured cars, I feel as though none of them even come close. Anyone can buy a 350z slap on the same shit as every other deep pocketed 350z owner and get a cover, it takes a real auto enthusiast to buy a car in his budget and build it from the ground up. That Z is the car that should have been in the back and that Camry absolutely should have been on the cover. To the owner of the Camry: you are a god among mortals.

Sorry if this topic has been covered already, I ran several searches and went like 9 days back in the old threads and found nothing so I just decided to make my own. Anyway, congratulations homie.

Well, all I found was swegyptian's car in the May issue... I am talking about an Allen's car in the "Reader's Rides" section of August's issue of Modified. This is all I found... all from April or that one from 04.

Suggestion

Allen's (UFOz) car is for sale but Alex's (Sweet's) car blows it away all around.
