it does have 2 holes....one for the IAT sensor and one for the vacuumn like to the crankcase area....but there is another hose like the one going to the crankcase right under the IAT sensor....it looks like a vacuumn line but i dont understand where it goes

Am I wrong or what but it's just supposed to be 2 holes only one for the vacuum line and the IAT sensor. That's the only thing that I needed to plug in and there was nothing hanging around and checked.
u didnt have a hose coming off the air box right underneath the IAT sensor?

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...b4.htm.......u dont even have to play the video....look the intake on the gen 4 has 2 hoses...the 2 blue ones r vacuumn lines...plus the IAT plug so there should be 3 hook ups but there r only 2 on the SW intake....i dont understand

I would guess there's a reason why they only offer it to 92-97 5sfe camry's and not 98-2001 because they haven't made one for the two vacuum lines but you have the 97 so that theory goes out the window so I don't know. I guess run it now with that one vacuum line and IAT sensor on it and make sure to disconnect the battery for a lil while and drive around like that and see if you get the check engine light.
I have the 95 5sfe (OBD-1) so I didn't even need the vacuum line hole had to cover it with the cap they gave me and I just needed the IAT sensor hole.
Anyways if you have driven it around how do you like it? Other people have said it too that this intake regardless if it makes any power or more than the others it produces a different sound compared to the cheap ebay ones on the same car when I reved it for them maybe because of the weird pipe in a pipe design it throws a different sound hmm...

im not gonna run it with a hose dangling...im calling weapon r tomorrow and ask them and if they tell me i cant do anything about it then im getting my money back and ordering a different intake...this is stupid...i spent the money on the more expensive one because i thought i wouldnt have a problem with any hoses or sensor...i cant believe this shit

Damn it's a shame cause I love this intake it's nice only one I haven't heard from was a aem one but that's only available on the V6 not 5sfe. Injen's sounded the same like the ebay ones and don't know about the dragon series either. Hope you figure it out good luck.
Maybe for some reason your 97 is a later model and was made like the 98 ones but this sounds stupid and don't know but you never know?!?!
