Gen3 5fse more power?

Are there any simple mods or overly restrictive devices on this engine? I'm not trying to make it go fast but it would be nice if the car could be driven without through hilly terrains without being floored all the time (2nd gear @ 60mph).

For now I was thinking an intake since my intake elbow is held together with duct tape and maybe an exhaust because the catalytic converter might be going out (rattling sound).

Any suggestions on what I can do to give it more power?

sounds like u have problems, i can go uphill in 3rd gear

also, youre probably going to be flamed because you DIDNT SEARCH and this topic has been covered at least A HUNDRED TIMES

you cant make the 5s fast without forced induction, which isnt reliable ... so ur pretty much stuck

an intake wont give you any more power, but it will make your engine sound a little more agressive - however, if your intake right now is in shambles, you might as well get an aftermarket one

a cai could give u like 2 - 5 whp and a bit larger exhaust could give you a decent gain as well. It wont make you fast but hopefully that should help u with the hill problems
