Yea, kinda reminds me of the useless space I got near my shifter in my Camry. Fits my cellphone perfect.

Since I don't own any Gen3 (Mom has a Gen4), I was going nuts trying to figure out where your ebrake was. Then when the pic of the steering wheel was shown, there was a (P) icon on a button like thing next to the wheel.

Was that a optional package for the Gen3 Camry?

the parking brake is actually a foot pedal to the left of the brake. and then the thing with the (P) is the release. I have no clue why it is like that in my model.

Can you control your Ipod with your deck? thats what I'm looking to do here sometime soon.. the interior of the automatic in the middle console looks alot different than my 5 speed. =P

my car has an ebrake where your Ipod would be and a little compartment by it perfect for my cell phone! except shifting with drinks in the drink holder there..it a large pain.

I can, I have the Pioneer DEH-7800 with the ipod module attached through the back and the cable goes in through the glove box, all you do is connect the ipod and leave it in the glovebox.

nope, just took the trim off around the shifter, then used a panel popper to push it into the center.
