hey guys, just got this 95 xle v6 this year and the needed new rubber, so decided to up it to 17" as well. I'm just getting into the car stuff now, and was wondering what I should save up for next. I was thinking new struts and springs lowering it 1.25" (eibachs). pic....
Also am going to remove mud flaps and haven't really looked at them closely. Are they just bolt on or what?

I agree that you should probably drop it before anything else. Btw, my car is the same as yours ('95 XLE V6), except it's white, and has a turbocharger.
You think there would be any rubbing issues with a 1.25" drop? I have 235/50/r17 tires.
And is there a safe way to take of the pin striping on it w/o damaging the paint?
I cant tell you about a 1.25 drop, I did almost a 2in drop on the factory 205/55/15s and there was no rubbing problems...so if you can work it out from there...=/
As for the pinstriping, in my experiences no, its not worth hurting your finish bro
i dropped my car, then cut coils on the springs and I don't get any rub...I do hit everything though...the frame is a lot lower than tthe body (beware)

Bro...NEVER cut coils, that hurts the suspension so bad.
you mean the shocks? I didn't cut coils off the stock springs...they are 350 lb rated springs...much higher than stock...does it still hurt it? plus in about 2 weeks im doing shocks also...do they make blisteins for the 97 V6 XLE?

ok lowering will be next, but I'll have to save up a bit first. You think I would need new struts to go with a 1.25" drop? I figured I would but 1.25 isn't much, plus struts are expensive
Also, rubbing would be fixed by rolling fenders, correct?
