Dripping Transmission Fluid from Plug

Hello all;

I recently changed/drained the transmission fluid from my 95 Camry. I am sure that I have tightened the plug closed as much as possible by hand. However, after a drive, it seems as if it still leaking/dripping. I have continued to monitor the fluid level and maybe Im reading the dipstick wrong but it seems that the fluid level remains the same . What could be the problem? Did I overfill ?

Thanks

There is an aluminum gasket you can get at the dealer inexpensively and it should solve the problem. Install that and torque to spec. BTDT.

are you sure where your leak is coming from? did you use a clean towel to wipe down where the plug seals?

if its a slow leak, it will take a while to drip a quart out to register a noticeable drop in fluid. but do take care of this leak.

Yep, there is a gasket. You should also be using a new gasket each time you change your oil... They are cheap, maybe 25 or 30 cents. When you take off the bolt again, make sure that you take the old crush washer off before putting the new one on.

And pick up some extra transmission fluid - when you remove the bolt to put on the washer... well, you are going to be doing another fluid change.
