Debadging question

On the 1995 xle, is the toyota symbol badge in the top middle pegged or not? I already found out myself that the CAMRY lettering is after breaking some strands of fishing line on it. . tks.

3rd Generation

Yeah, the center Toyota symbol is pegged.

I just debadged the trunk lid on my '95. The "Toyota", "V6" and "XLE" badges were adhesive only, but the center "T" badge has 3 pegs.

It's really too bad cause after I took all the badges off I cleaned it all up and polished it and it would look great with no badges, but I don't want to mess with trying to bondo the holes and all that. So, I'm going to put the "T" back on. I have to paint it before I put it back on though, and am trying to decide between going with chrome, black chrome or body color. Saw a posting with body color badges yesterday and it looked pretty good,

I have the gold package, and all the badging is gold except the C A M R Y letters across the panel between the rear lights. They're chrome. Go figure. You'd think if they were going to change the badging to gold, they'd do it all. Looked kind of dumb IMO to have part chrome and part gold. Oh well, I didn't like the gold on my burgundy car anyway. Too pimped for me.

So, if I decide to go with chrome, I paint the "T" and I'm done. If I decide to go body color or black chrome, I have to do the C A M R Y letters on the center panel too.

Decisions, decisions. :-)
