^ Yeah, when I was considering doing a FMIC on my Camry, I had a Procharger Intercooler from a 350Z kit sitting in my garage that had the similar design. I figured it would be less lag if I had it come out one of side rather than having the piping go out the other end.

wow, you might as well just unbolted the metal bumper. But I'll wait to see what are the best ways to put a side to side greddy intercooler on from others.
A really short one should work fine right under the bumper support, you just need to weld up some metal to hold it up. It should fit just fine. The most you will have to mod is the bumper itself which is fine. Good Luck

Yeah, I'm still looking around for a good sized intercooler than can handle between 600 and 800hp for my set up. Trying to find a company that has thick bar/plate design for a shorter cooler than having a large one with thin passages.
There's always the "get an intercooler that fits" option.
if you mean get one built to what I need, yeah I have that in mind. Although, the price is crazy, but what the hell...I've spent alot on the engine itself, so might as well spend more.
1. Make it fit after about 50 tries
2. Make it fit after 10 tries
3. Drop some cash and get it to fit the first time.

Yeah, now I just need to figure out the best mounting spots on the car. I thought about just removing the metal bumper and I've thought about cutting it to fit the intercooler. Removing it is the easiest way in my head, but I dunno yet without actually trying it.
Its really tough to cut through but maybe thats becuase we didnt use a sawzall but a grinder instead LOL.
