brake issue

hey guys, i just replaced the pads and rotors on my 97 camry, but i seem to have run into a problem. After the complete installation i took the car for a little test drive and noticed that the brake pedal was very sensative, it would need to be pushed down all the way for the vehicle to stop at a low speed. what could be the problem? I really need some feedback. THANKS GUYS

I'm not sure I understand this, "noticed that the brake pedal was very sensative, it would need to be pushed down all the way"

If you pressed the caliper pistons back in order to install the new pads then the brake pedal will need to be pumped a few times to bring the new pads up against the rotors, That should reduce the brake pedal travel. Are you still having this problem? You also should have had to withdraw some brake fluid from the reservoir as the new pads would have forced excess fluid back into it.

have you checked the brake fluid level? spongy brakes normally is caused by air in brake line(s). Try bleeding all brakes again and look closely at the brake fluid level. You may have a leaking brake lines......... just my 2 cents.

How did you bleed? Use a helper to pump the pedal while you opened and closed the bleeder screws?

Are the pads or pistons hung up in the calipers? Have someone pump the pedal while you watch the pads.
