Part connecting stabilizer bar to control arm

96 avalon. More specialist here (camry forum).
Today found out the part connecting stabilizer bar to lower control arm is broken. That might be where the popping sound coming while turning the steerring wheel.
It doesn't affect drivability though. I didn't feel it at least.
Is this still safe to drive?
I will replace this part. Who know what is the name? I think its a dealer item. Dealer part number will be helpful.

Put on new one on (cost only $15 from dealer). Can't feel the difference, ah....might swing a little less than before while making turns......
Still have the popping sound problem. I am thinking that the popping sound might put a heavier load on this part and caused it broken.
Similar experience?

Had the same part break, never knew it until one day looked at the brakes. Look at the part for a crease where the bend is (where it broke). I think during manufacture this crease was somehow formed into the part. As such this caused local stresses, a crack to form and then the part to broke.

Someone else recently posted about a popping noise on an earlier Camry. Can you feel it through the steering wheel? Might be the upper shock mounts, broken shock spring. Also check the U-joint between the steering shaft and rack/pinion. There may also be a plastic bushing at the bottom of the steering column (where the shaft exits) that may need some lubrication.

A TN history search should turn up a few hits.

can that tab be welded onto the lower control arm?

also check your endlinks for the popping. if that ball joint is in bad shape, they and groan and pop when you turn the wheel.
