3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I think the best "over the counter" wax is Meguiar's NXT. As for tire dressings, I look for ones that don't "fly off" which are usually a little more expensive.
What exactly are you looking for? If you want a pure wax, Mother's pure carnauba wax or Meguiars #26 Hi-tech yellow wax are the best waxes you'll find in stores.
NXT and Gold Class are ok, but they are not pure waxes like the ones I listed above.
I detailed cars for 8 years, and Mcguiar's is the best bang for the buck. Truly a great product.
Use the three step system:
1) Paint cleaner (work in well)
2) Polish (work in well)
3) Wax Every 2-3 months
For a quick job, cleaner wax does well. It will remove alot of surface debris and minor surface scratches, but since there are cleaning agents in cleaner wax, the protective wax does not last long. Maybe a month. Its conveinient to use since it goes on and comes off easy. But you may choose to follow up a cleaner wax with a good carnuba wax #26.
Just FYI!
