Check engine light on

Dear Friends,
This weekend I flushed the radiator and dropped the tranny and cleaned the screen and added new tranny fluid. Now the check engine light is on. I rechecked the fluid levels and everything is fine. Did I miss something here? What should be my next step in figuring what is causing the light to come on? After I did the services it was fine for a day before the light came on. This is a 1994 with the 3.0L V6. Thanks for your help!

PS Just a note: I bought a new tranny strainer and gasket at Murrays Discount Auto Parts and either did NOT fit! I put the old one back in after I cleaned it. Just a warning to you all!

Take the car to Autozone or Checkers or wherever and have them read the CEL code. They'll do it for free. Write down the CEL code and diagnose the problem using the 1MZ-FE repair manual PDF in the FAQ section of this forum. Maybe you knocked a sensor harness connector loose when you were doing the work.

He has the V6, so a 94+ V6 is OBDII.

When you bring it to AutoZone or other auto parts store, they will say they cant because it's a '94, but dont listen to them, the V6 models ARE OBDII.
