My cam needs an overhaul (Not for 56k)

So I took some pictures of the camry today. Its accumulated some minor to major problems lately.
To start off, battery has started to corrode. Its about five years old. I dont know if cleaning it is even worth it or if I should just replace the thing.

The coolant reservoir clip busted. It's held for now. So I might just leave it.

The mirror is commiting harry carrie. Not sure if there is an easy patch for this one.

The lock cylinder won't accept the master key.

And last but not least the windshield crack has widened.

In 2006 I had the cap, rotor, brakes, brake rotors, brake hardware and shoes, sparks, plug wires, motor mount, flexpipe and radiator replaced.
I think I’ve already paid for a few ASE certs

dude, these are minor issues, except the windshield, but alot of your parts can be replaced by going to the junkyard.

my battery was corroded so bad when i moved that the terminals fell off ... just replace it, cleaning is FUTILE!

as for the mirror, get it from a junkyard and paint it .... it shouldnt be expensive for such a small part

for the window, youre gonna havta get it filled with resin ASAP unless its too big - then u better replace the rear window before it spreads

as for the lock, well .... i dont use my trunk keyhole anyways, so i would just say screw it!

and i have a new reservoir and clip, they were cheap @ the stealership a year ago

I had the same problem with my trunk lock.

Spray some WD40 on the outside and inside of the lock, remove the trunk carpet and spray the mechanism there. Jiggle it until it loosens up.

The green corrosion seen on the positive battery terminal is characteristic of a defective voltage regulator .... a part which is internal to the alternator, if I recall. Either get a new alternator or take it to a starter/alternator shop and get it rebuilt. If you have any doubts about this, take the car to an automotive shop that is qualified to diagnose such a problem. .... No point in just cleaning the terminals ..... You might also need a new battery .... 5 years is about all you can expect.

that green crap is oxidized copper caused by the ultra slow corrosion of the copper components close to and in the battery terminals and in the battery itself. its possible that there is a regulator problem but ud start to see problems with charge and starting if it was anything to worry about, though 5 years sounds like time for a change in ur battery. thoes are all little problems, not an overhual. but the little things do add up, i add them every day

Yep just minor stuff. I don't mess with windshields tho. lol.

Better get that battery done first before it gets you stuck.

Yeah these arent a big deal. The regulator has fail safe circuits that take over in the event of a regulator failure. Otherwise charging voltage could top out at 250 V plus and fry every piece of electronics in the car. Thats just from a lack of cleaning. I cant tell how bad the corrosion is because the cap is blocking the view, but you may need a new + cable end.
