4th Generation gas door problems

i am having a peoblem with my gas door it doesnt pop open any more i had someone hold the the opener handle and it opens fine i was wonderin if there was some sord of spring in there that has to be replaced? has any one else had this problem let me know thanks

LoL i dunno which one to answer too...... but there is a metal clip behind it just go to the dealer and purchase the metal clip

I think its a couple bucks but have another person with you so they could pull the latch while you pull the gas door.. goodluck

You can wedge something under the lever and then use a credit card to pry the door open if the spring is broken. You can get the spring at a dealer or at Napa.

If you cannot pry the door open, it could be a broken bowden cable
