Head Gasket Leak Question

I think my head gasket has an external leak, I have noticed recently a very small puddle of coolant from the front cylinder bank along the edge where the transmission, starter motor etc are. I have looked around and its not from a leaking pipe and I can quite clearly see its from the join between the iron block and the alloy head. I dont think there are any internal leakages as my exhuast doesnt have white smoke, the cars runs perfectly etc. My question, is there any way to fix this without major work? Or anyway to slow it down... as Im assuming the crack that exists is only going to get bigger, to a point where the coolant lost is to much (currently the coolant hasnt really needed to be filled up in the overflow although its maybe 2cm lower then usual... not huge yet)

Help appreciated

From your description coolant does not seem to be getting into the cylinders. I would keep an eye on the oil to see if coolant is leaking into it. If it is only an external leak it may be just the head gasket. Why don't you take it into a shop and get them to pressure test the cooling system. When it is pressurized you may be able to see exactly where the leak is. Have you had recent work done to the engine? If this is just a weep leak then maybe re-torqueing the head may seal it. Have you over heated the engine recently?
