If Im looking to get rims for my camry, would 17" rims with a 40 offset be ok with a stock suspension setup???

You can go with a 7inch or 7.5 inch widths. Offset is useless unless you give us the preferred width fyi. Good luck.

u may find the need for spacers too. the wheels will looked kinda tucked in with a 40 offset and 7" wide. at least they do in the back.
