Resonator for the air box.

What will happen if I remove the resonator for the air box? Will it do anything and will it damage the engine? I am thinking of taking the end, taking some tubbing an putting it near the front bumper so some cool air can flow into it. Any opinions?

no thats fine. u have to remove that to put in a CAI. i believe its actually a moisture collection for the intake system to prevent water or condensation creeping into the engine, not that its gonna matter if u take it off, just be carful when u go through deep water.

^not really, the real purpose in doing this is for the sound, even a cai doesnt give much power.

The intake for that year car is right behind the corner lamp you see in that photo.
