ACIS and exhaust mods

We all know the 3VZ has the ACIS valve which closes under ~4krpm and over 60% throttle. When I do some hard pulls on my stock car, it growls for the first 4k and wails after the ACIS opens. I can hear it very clearly in the car and jokingly tell some of my friends its VTEC and they believe it. I haven't heard it outside of the car and don't know how it sounds, nor are there that many V6 Camry's that are willing to take it up that high.

So I was wondering how does it sound? Is the change in sound as pronounced? Also would a exhaust change make it even louder. So far all of the exhaust videos I've seen are of the car sitting there and revving only.

The thing that really amplifies the ACIS valve opening is a short ram intake. An exhaust will make the crossover sound nonexistant. At least that's how it was on my 1MZ-FE.

^Yea, on my 1MZ-FE I have a cold air intake and its sounds amazing after 4K. For example, one of my friends is into muscle cars and even he was impressed on how nice the engine sounded.

"roar" is tha best word to discribe the sound. its a great sound. i really advise anyone who does any intake mod to the V6 to get a friend to do a drive by. ull really appreciate how well it really sounds. hell even the 4cyl.
